What are Photofacials and Skin Rejuvenation?
With the use of broadband light, an IPL Photofacial targets small vessels, such as broken capillaries and spider veins, and/or various brown spots (lentigines or sun spots), resulting in a significant reduction in redness and/or a dramatic improvement in hyper-pigmentation.
Nd: YAG Skin Rejuvenation
Skin Rejuvenation by use of a long pulse Nd: YAG laser stimulates collagen growth in the epidermis to promote skin tightening and a reduction of wrinkles. During the course of several treatments, uneven complexion may also be lightened – giving a freshened look to the skin.
Our Technology & Process
We have chosen to provide Photofacials with the Palomar Starlux system – one of the most powerful IPL machines on the marketplace. We have selected to the Palomar system due to its consistency of energy application, integrated sapphire cooling, and unique wavelength filtration system.
Skin Rejuvenation treatments are provided with an Nd:YAG laser. Its precise wavelength allows for a predictable interaction with the skin. Energy from the laser is applied over a longer period of time coupled with a high pulse rate that results in selective thermal injury from the absorption of the laser energy. The process promotes a natural healing process that results in collagen growth while also improving skin complexion. The result is a firmer and more youthful appearance.
Treatments take about 30 to 45 minutes, and while some redness may appear following treatment it usually lasts for under an hour. Minor swelling may appear following an IPL Photofacial but will resolve nicely. You’ll be provided with post treatment instructions to help limit any minor downtime.
Pricing & Results
Our IPL Photofacials are offered for $199 per treatment and our Skin Rejuvenation treatments are $99 per treatment, with usually 3 to 5 treatments recommended for heightened results. Many providers charge in excess of $350 for each session, but we strive to take a more value added approach with the understanding that this is a minimally invasive treatment with almost no downtime.
